Jean Baptiste David, ecclésiastique et professeur (histoire de Belgique) à l'Université catholique de Louvain. Chef de file du mouvement flamand, il fut président de la société d'étudiants catholiques flamands "Met Tijd en Vlijt". Le "Davidsfonds" est nommé en son honneur en 1875.
